Hi, I’m Kristy, welcome to done by krikri.
Design for Learning. Space for Connection.
I spent years as a Learning Designer, obsessed with one question: How do we actually process information? My career was dedicated to stripping away the unnecessary and designing environments where learning feels effortless.
Then, I became a mother.
And I realized that the world of modern parenting is the exact opposite of good design. It is loud, cluttered, and filled with “educational” noise that often gets in the way of what matters most: deep, undistracted connection.
My Philosophy: Depth over Distraction
Through done by krikri, I apply my professional background in learning design to the most critical stage of human development—the first three years.
I don’t believe in “busy work” for toddlers. I believe in:
- The Power of Isolation: Removing visual noise so the child can focus on one single skill at a time.
- Intentionality: Choosing one high-quality, realistic tool over ten plastic distractions.
- The Art of Observation: Shifting our role from “entertainers” to calm observers of our child’s natural mastery.
Why I Create
The materials you find in my Etsy shop and the guides I write on this blog are born from a need for clarity. I couldn’t find tools that respected the toddler’s cognitive load—so I designed them myself.
Clean imagery, realistic photos, and a focus on the “3D-to-2D bridge” are not just aesthetic choices. They are intentional design decisions made to support how a child’s brain actually maps the world.
My Role, and Yours
I am here to help you filter the noise. Whether you are navigating the first steps of The Noticer or the complex questions of The Inquirer, my goal is to provide you with the tools and the confidence to slow down.
You don’t need to do more. You just need to create the space for them to discover.
Did I do enough today?
I end every guide with this question because I know the weight of “parental guilt.” At the end of the day, you have done enough if you provided a safe space, a quiet moment, and an intentional presence.
I’m glad you’re here. Let’s design a slower, more meaningful childhood together
